Built Around a Seasonal Population
Propane Delivery for Laguna Vista and Laguna Heights
Laguna Vista changes size twice a year. From November through March the RV parks and seasonal homes fill, and by summer a good share of them are shut up again. Propane demand here follows that curve exactly, which makes it one of the more predictable places we serve and one of the easiest to get wrong if you treat it like a year-round town. Hino Gas has supplied this coast since 1963. We schedule Laguna Vista around arrivals and departures rather than around a flat weekly average.
Nearby areas we serve: propane in Port Isabel, propane in South Padre Island, propane in Brownsville. More detail on our propane delivery and propane tank installation pages.
Winter Texan Coaches
Every RV that arrives for the season runs propane for heat, hot water and cooking. Park-level delivery arrangements save residents a drive and save managers a recurring complaint.
Seasonal Homes
A house that has been closed since spring needs a full tank on arrival day, not later that week. Pre-arrival fills are the single most useful thing a seasonal resident can arrange.
Storm Season Generators
This coast loses power more readily than inland towns, and for longer. Propane generators keep working, provided the tank was sized for a real outage rather than an optimistic one.

Counter refills at our Harlingen and Brownsville yards.
Book Before the Season, Not During It
Every propane supplier on this coast is busy in the same six weeks, because every seasonal resident arrives in the same six weeks. That is not a capacity problem so much as a planning one. Customers who arrange a fill before they travel get the day they want. Customers who call on arrival get whatever is left in the schedule. It costs nothing to be in the first group.
Coastal Specification
Sixty years of installing between the bay and the causeway. We know what salt air does to hardware and we allow for it.
Seasonal Scheduling
Arrivals and departures drive the Laguna Vista schedule, not a flat weekly route.
Se Habla Espanol
Every part of the process is available in Spanish, by phone and on site.
Honest Generator Sizing
We size standby generator supply for a real coastal outage rather than the shortest one you might get away with.
Why Laguna Vista Calls Hino Gas
Seasonal customers are the fastest people alive to spot a supplier who does not deliver, because they only get a few months here and none of them are worth spending on a cold house. Sixty years on this coast is the only reference that really counts.
Propane in Laguna Vista: Questions We Get Asked
Do you deliver to seasonal residents who are only here part of the year?
Yes, and Laguna Vista has more of those than almost anywhere we serve. The thing worth arranging in advance is a delivery before you arrive rather than after. A house that has sat empty since April will want a full tank on the day you walk in, not three days later, and October and November are the weeks when every seasonal resident in the area asks at once. Call ahead of your arrival and it is a non-event.
Is a coastal installation different from an inland one?
Yes. This close to the Laguna Madre, salt air corrodes tanks, regulators and fittings noticeably faster than it does inland. Buried tanks need proper corrosion protection, above-ground hardware needs checking more often, and an installation specified as though it were in Weslaco will need attention years earlier than it should. We have installed along this shoreline for sixty years and we specify accordingly.
Can you size a tank for a standby generator?
We can, and on this coast it is worth doing carefully. The mistake is sizing a generator tank for the outage you expect rather than the one that actually happens. A coastal outage during storm season can run considerably longer than an inland one, and a generator with a tank sized for a short interruption becomes useless at precisely the point you needed it. Tell us the loads you want to carry and how long you want to carry them, and we will size honestly.
